2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Home Try-Ons: Part 2
I meant to get this post up earlier, but since it’s the home stretch for the sale I hope you are still checking for restocks and deals! Here are a few more pieces I tried on and reviewed.
ps. Don’t forget to check out Part 1!
Something Navy Puff Sleeve Tee (M) - I loved the subtle puff sleeve on this tee, as I’m all about classics with a twist. However, I was a little disappointed in how small this shirt ran. It didn’t seem fitted on the model, but it definitely is. Still super cute, but just not the cut for me!
Vince Boxy High Neck Nep Merino Wool Blend Sweater (M) - Super cute and great quality, as with all Vince pieces. I’m loving that speckled sweaters are a thing right now! The high neck isn’t too high, which I appreciate too. It’s a great piece, but I honestly just didn’t need another sweater.
Good American Good Legs High Waist Skinny Jeans (4) - Review in Part 1.
Sam Edelman Rib Tweed Car Coat (6P) - This coat is so fun!! I love the polka dotted lining and the diagonal stripes. The speckling is gorgeous and a little more colorful than I was anticipating, but it gives it such an interesting look. The price point is great, and I also love how it comes in petite!
BP. Lightweight Sweater (Small) - Is it clear that I have an obsession with sweaters? Haha! I am a sucker for a summer sweater, and this breezy one fits the bill. It comes in a few other great colors (black, grey, royal purple, and golden yellow) and is less than $26, so I can’t think of a reason NOT to get this!
Veronica Beard Cutler Minidress (6) - Suuuuch a gorgeous dress!! It keeps popping in and out of stock too! The button-up detail is just stunning and it’s a great basic for work or even date night. It fits TTS and I love the thicker material. It feels and looks like a quality piece. Can you ever have too many LBDs? Nope.
Vince Camuto Corlina Ankle Strap Sandal (7) - Review in Part 1.
ASTR the Label Lace Midi Dress (L) - This dress is probably owned by every blogger out there, so I wanted to try it for myself. It runs small, so I sized up to a large and it honestly was still too small for my chest. It’s not cut for someone with curves, and I wasn’t a fan of how short the lining was. Maybe if it hit at least the knee? I am only 5’2” so I can’t imagine how short it’d be on taller women. Overall it really was a big miss for me.
Steve Madden Tiffani Ankle Strap Sandal (7) - I would recommend sizing up half a size because these shoes were hard to get on. I’d liken it to putting on a fitted dress that doesn’t have a zipper - you have to squeeze your feet through the stretchy ankle strap. I love the comfort level these shoes provide though! You feel very secure and they are easy to walk in.
adidas Trefoil Tee (M) - A good lounge or workout tee is a staple in my closet, and adidas is always up there in quality and affordability. The color of the trefoil on this tee looked a little more muted online, while it’s a bit more neon in person. It also runs rather small, and I probably would’ve sized up once more as you know it’ll shrink a bit with a first wash.
Bernardo Reversible Faux Shearling Puffer Jacket (M) - I’ve loved Bernardo coats for a while, as they come in petites, are affordable, warm, and cute! I loved the Shearling lining on this coat and how it’s reversible, but it felt way too bulky when I wore it. The collar is much bigger than I thought it’d be, and I felt a little swallowed in it. It’s super cozy and warm though, so maybe I’m just not in the winter mindset yet!!
Theory Tolleree Short Sleeve Cashmere Pullover (M) - Cashmere? Theory? Sign me up! It ran a little smaller than I anticipated and I might’ve sized up in hindsight. But it’s made so well, and in a few great basic colors (also in a light camel). You can’t go wrong with a closet staple like this!
Sam Edelman Bold Poppy Tiered Asymmetrical Midi Dress (6) - This is a great example of a dress that looks amazing on the model, but not so much on me haha. It doesn’t flatter me in the right places and the coloring is too orange for my skin tone. I love the print though and the double tiered skirt! Would make a great dress for a different closet.
PST by Project Social T Choose Kindness Tee (L) - I didn’t realize this was such a cropped top when I bought it, but I could see the look with leggings like this. I sized up for an oversized look, but I’m not sure it works on me. And honestly the color washes me out a bit. I love the message of the tee though, and the price!
Bernardo Long Water Resistant Microfiber Barn Jacket (S) - I loved the idea of this jacket as a longer rain coat to wear with dresses or nicer outfits, but it’s just too long and big. I think a small petite would be a good alternative. The color is cute but it’s just not for me.
SPANX Active 7/8 Leggings (M) - Review in Part 1.
