Chloe Hudson Bag Review + Look for Less
I have been dying over this purse by Chloé for quite a while now and could never find a decent dupe. My problem was that not only did I want it to look pretty similar, but I wanted a nice real leather, quality purse. After much thinking (and discussions with my husband), we decided if I could find it on sale or a decent used version, I would get it. Lo and behind, it was at Saks Off 5th for within the range I was willing to spend! Originally I had wanted a suede one, but I can't afford to be picky.
Right away I noticed how the purse was unlined. That is never a good sign for me, as I always feel like a handbag that will hold up longer has a lining. The leather is of okay quality (I have cheaper bags with higher quality leather), but the stitching is gorgeous. It is a well-crafted bag, even if perhaps the materials don't feel so nice. One thing I never knew about this bag is that there's a knot in the strap. When I received it I thought it was a defect! I looked at some more pictures online until I realized it was intentional. It just seems like an odd addition.
I wore this bag out one time before realizing it just isn't enough for me. It's a gorgeous bag and design, but I didn't feel like execution was nearly 4 figures worth. For the time being I don't think it's something I'm willing to splurge on. I didn't 100% love it, so I am not going to spend the money.
I still am in love with the style, though, so I might have to pick up a look alike. I rounded up a few lookalikes (for all price ranges!) below. If I wanted something exactly the same but cheaper, I could always buy a knock-off somewhere on the internet (if you do that, do your research first!).Which one do you think I should get??
