How to Style Leopard Print for Work
Leopard print has made such a splash this year and is available in every style you can think of. Countless bloggers are calling it the new neutral, and how it has strong staying power. I don’t like to wear "loud” prints to work, so here are a few tips for how to style leopard print to be work-appropriate:
Keep it small.
This can mean that the print itself is small (like this dress), or you don’t wear a lot of it (for example, leopard print shoes). This dress’s print isn’t loud or too bold, and is fun while still being polished. I also love to wear leopard heels for a pop of print, or a leopard cami tucked into dress pants.
Pair with elevated pieces.
My work environment is pretty casual, so I typically will wear jeans and flats. However, when wearing a fun print, pair it with a blazer or heels instead of casual pieces to bring it into that work-appropriate space.
Keep the pieces polished.
The tips above help if you have a more casual or fun piece that you want to wear to work, but if you buy pieces that are already polished, they can be worn more simply. For example, a silk button-up blouse or pleated midi skirt are great versatile pieces that can be easily styled to be work-appropriate because they already are.
Own it!
Confidence is key here. At the end of the day, if you are comfortable in what you’re wearing, that’s all that matters! Style is all about personal expression and I believe comfort is a large part of that. If you want to wear leopard print head-to-toe, then you do that! If you are most comfortable with a touch of leopard print on perhaps a headband or belt, then you do you. As long as you’re wearing what you love, then you win.
